In honor of the first football Sunday (GO STEELERS), I’m sharing a football appropriate recipe! I was dying to try this and I have to say it turned out better than I had expected. This pizza is made out of unflavored protein powder. Check out my version of this recipe below:
- 1/2 cup unflavored whey protein (GNC brand)
- 1/4 egg whites
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Pizza sauce
Mix everything in a bowl together, minus the sauce and cheese. Then spray a frying pan with cooking spray and cook the mixture as if it were a pancake. Once the “pancake” pizza crust is cooked, take it out of the pan and place on a cookie sheet with non-stick foil. Top the pizza as you choose (I used pizza sauce and cheese). Then put in the oven at 400 degrees, or under the boiler for about 4-5 minutes. Wah-lah, you are done! You have a personal protein powder pizza for the game that can be all yours AND it isn’t weird or odd tasting. I swear! I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.
TIP: I ground the rolled oats in a food chopper so they weren’t so chunky in the mixture.
